How long have you been a tribe member of CrossFit Lakás?

1 year!

What made you decide to do CrossFit?

My sister and brother-in-law were already members, and everyday, I was seeing all the great results they were/are getting from CrossFit, so I thought why not give in and try it out.

What do you love about CrossFit? 

The constant change in WODs…I never feel like I’m doing the same workout.  We may be doing Squats for the next cycle, but everyday, they’re introduced in a different way.

What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health and fitness since starting CrossFit?

My abilities in the gym have changed.  I see myself improving on individual skills every day.  I’m much stronger than I was a year ago.  Mostly, I’ve seen a mental change.  I approach working out as a fun, positive experience.

Do you follow a special nutrition/supplement regimen?

I take more fish oil than I ever would imagine…can you become part fish?  I feel like I’m almost there.

What is your favorite / least favorite WOD?

My favorite WOD is Mary…don’t ask me why.  I don’t have a really good answer.  I just look at Mary as one of the WODs I want to RX, and RX really, REALLY well.

My least favorite WOD, gun to my head, would be Annie just because I am literally growing old doing all those singles, damn Double Unders!  And the Sit-ups hurt my butt.

What are your current goals at the Sweatshop?

Tackling my gymnastics skills…I love lifting, but I really want to make those seemingly impossible skills, like the Muscle-up, possible.

Do you have any advice to someone new at CrossFit Lakás?

Don’t be afraid to ask questions.  Lakás is a family and they want to see you improve and meet your goals.  Also, don’t be afraid to try something new.  You may look silly at first, but we were all there at one point.
